Inday Plays Deal or No Deal (Parts 4, 5, and 6)

Taken from

Part 4...

Ano name nya?

Inday: Ahh, that’s my master Mr. Montemayor.

Kris: Ahhh sya pala yun, how cute naman pala eh. Sige sir, give us a number.

Mr. Montemayor: Hi Kris, good evening. I’m a fan. I choose number 22 please.

Kris: Ano Inday ok ba yung number 22?

Inday: Whatever, we shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds us anyway. Go ahead.

Kris: [taray naman] Sofie, buksan na!

[ang laman ng briefcase 22 ay 5,000]

Kris: Good job! What’s his name?

Inday: Ahh, that’s my on again off again boyfriend, Dodong the gardener.

Kris: Ooohh, sya pala yun. Ok Dodong, give us a number!

Dodong: Hi babes, I choose briefcase 9 if it’s ok with you. If not, it’s ok with me as long as it’s ok with you.

Kris: Ano raw? Inday, number 9 daw ok say0?

Inday: Yes Kris, it’s fine with me.

Inday: YOU!!! How dare you invade my moment!

Part 5...

Nagkatitigan sina Inday at Ederlyn.

Inday: What? Can you speak up? What are you mumbling up there. Can somebody give her a microphone please?

Kris: Ano ba!!

Nanghinayang ang mga audience… Ang mga natirang values ay 250, 1K, 20K, 50K, and 500K.

Inday: NooOoo…. (sabay tingin kay Dodong at napapaluha), how could you…

Dodong: I’m so sorry Inday, please forgive me.

Kris: Hayyy, drama again.

Kris: Inday, are you okay? Is it a Deal or No Deal?

Kris: Wait lang, kung mapapansin ninyo we have only have 5 cases left, and among those 5, apat doon ay mas maliit na value…

Inday: Kris, do you mind? Can I do my own thinking?

Kris: Taray to the max! (pabulong sa sarili)

Inday: Ok, I’m ready. Upon looking at the reality of the situation, 80% of the cases left have at least 49K less than the banker’s offer. The only way I can do better than what is offered is that if my case contains the 500k or I’d get to open one of the four lower values. But I have to keep in mind that there’s only 20% probability that this would happen. I have to take note, however, that the banker’s offer is roughly around 15% lower than the offer I expected based on the arithmetic mean of the values left.

Kris: Lorddd… panaginip ba ‘to? Ayokonaaa….

Inday: Accepting a deal for less than the mean should generally be regarded as a weak decision so I would say, NO DEAL!

Part 6...

Sige Inday, go ahead and choose 1 briefcase!

Inday: Ok Kris, I choose briefcase #5 please?

Kris: Briefcase #5! Mimi bago mo buksan yan I would first like to thank Figliarina by Schubizz for my sandals, Bambi Fuentes for my hair and make-up and Pepsi Herrera for my gown tonight.

Kris: Ok Mimi, buk…

Inday: Ahh Kris, can I also take time to thank a few people? I mean, I did save us a few minutes of airtime right?

Inday: Thanks! Yes, I would like to thank Frank Provost for my hair and make-up, Jimmy Choo for my sandals and my dear friend Oscar dela Renta for my gown tonight.

BLAG!!

Inday: Oh, and thanks to the people of Cartier for sending me these nice earrings for tonight!

Inday Plays Deal or No Deal (Parts 1, 2, and 3)

Great Job Inday!

Kris: Ok Inday, choose a briefcase.
Inday: Kris, I would opt for case #4 please.
Kris: Briefcase # 4… si Sharmel. Inday, matanong ko lang, how did you come up with the number 4?
Inday: Oh, do you really want to know Kris?
Kris: Oo naman. I'm sure kaya ko naman maintindihan yung sasabihin mo eh.
Inday: The number 4 was acquired based on a probability distribution function that involves integrating up to an area greater than or equal to that random number which should be generated between 0 and 1 for proper distributions.
Kris: Syet. tanong tanong pa kasi eh.
Kris: Ok Inday, choose 6 briefcases to open.
Inday: I would opt for 7, 24, 12, 2, 15 and 20.
Inday: Why is that? As if I can change the outcome if we're to open a case each time I blurt out a number as opposed to opening each case immediately one after the other right?
Inday: Kris, I guess that's not the way I was taught in grade school. You see, I was taught that we should only use the comparative form of the word or add "ER" to the adjective if we are comparing two things. And since it is only the first briefcase that we are going to open, we have nothing to compare it to. Am I right?
[natahimik ang audience at napaisip]
Kris: Oo nga no!
Kris: Sige Natalie, Buksan mo na.
[Ang laman ng briefcase 7 ay Piso … Palakpakan ang mga tao]
Kris: Good start! Ano yung next case mo ulit?
Inday: Case number 24 please..
Kris: Chloe… buksan na…
[Audience sumisigaw ulit ng LOWER!! LOWER!!]
Inday: Oh my goodness Kris, how long have you been doing this? Have you ever encountered a value that is lower than a peso in this game? Tell me, is there any value left lower than the one we just opened? Sheesh.
[Napaisip ulit ang audience at natahimik]
Kris: Aarrgghh!!!!
Inday: Ahh Kris, to save more time can you tell Banker that I'm not interested in his first offer. In the history of this game of chance, I have yet to see someone accept a first offer from the banker. It's quite pathetic and pretentious for contestants to pause and look around the audience as if asking for advice before ultimately rejecting the first offer. I mean come on, isn't that a waste of airtime?
Banker: Potahhh!!!

Puerto Gallera

The Easiest Test

I have to post this one before my forgetfulness takes over.

Have you ever taken a very easy exam? Well, I had. It was a Filipino101 Final exam. We had the exam in my elementary school and among my classmates were Ronalisa Pamaran Jr., Charmane Yares, and Abba Kaba, the pupil who was admired by my teachers in elementary because she looks different but goes to school with the rest of us and shes on the Section 1 class from grade 1 thru 6 while I just managed to be in the third or tenth section. Our professor was in the covered court 100 meters away dictating the questions while we were inside my grade 1 classroom. Strange isn't it? He didn't even seem to mind what we were doing inside.

I wasn't prepared for the exam and I had no idea that I missed all the previous quizes including the prelims and the midterms. How was that possible? I have no idea either. I even missed the first question coz I was late. The worst thing is I didn't bring my pen and paper. Fortunately, I found a pen outside the door. We had to use grade 1 or 3 paper-- another problem. I asked my classmates if they have a spare but all of them had none. Abba was so kind that she went out of the room to buy some paper for me. When she got back it was already question number 2.
Ano ang tawag sa nagmamaneho ng eroplano?
a. Piloto b. Kutsero c. driver d. all of the above
Easy isn't it?

The third and last question was a surprise. It's like youre on "K! The 1 Million Peso Videoke Challenge". You only have to sing and if you can answer it you will automatically get a 5.0 .
Kahit sabihin na mali ako
alipin mo o bihag mo,
ako’y iyong-iyo
kung pag-ibig ang pag-uusapan
di ko na ililihim pa
ang damdamin ko sa’yo
sa akin ay ______ kita

I gave the right answer and BOOM! loud fireworks started. That's when I woke up on election day coz I was startled by the loud firecrackers outside. I immediately notice that Question Number 3 was playing loudly on my neighbor's videoke and I was probably singing while asleep. DAMN! It was all a dream.

Shoot All PU*Is

Ok guys. I know this may sound unwholesome to you but the game's name is "Puki The Swarm" . Lets not stress our mind on how and why the creator named this game as such. Puki is a 3D first man shooter game. A pretty good example of what Flash is capable of.

His Own Way

Around two in the afternoon I heard Anne rushing to her cubicle and saying something about an explosion in Glorietta. When I went to her workstation a few seconds later, I found out that she was reading a breaking news on . I went back to my pc and opened the same website. According to the initial report, an explosion caused by LPG happened in Glorietta 2 around 1:30pm that killed 4 and injured not less than 60.

I guess everyone in the office was hooked on the same website waiting for news updates. As the minutes passed, more and more were reported injured and killed. Links to websites that contain pictures of the scene were forwarded through instant messengers. By looking at the photos, you wont believe that it was just an LPG that exploded but a bomb.

My little grudge to the security guards was triggered again. Initial investigations say that at least 2Kg of explosive might have been used. Damn! How could a bomb that big was able to get thru "security"? Hmmmm let me guess... The suspect might have dressed well. He probably was wearing branded long sleeves and trousers with shiny leather shoes. Some (I mean not all but there are many out there) guards only check the bags of poor-looking people and exempt the opposite. Perhaps the bag of the suspect wasn't check. They should change their attitude.

Suddenly, I remember Dormine, my classmate in college who now works in Makati Stock Exchange building, so I texted her if she was okay. Her reply was "Hehe buanga, nsaved ko s akng pgkalimtanun rye. :D m0ad2 r b ta ko gnha mgrocery. Hehe ok ra ko rye. Sa quiapo na lng ko mlaag. Hehe Thanx"(Hehe it's crazy, I was saved by my forgetfulness rye. :D i was planning to go there for grocery. Hehe im ok rye. I'll wander in quiapo instead. Hehe Thanx) Thank God she was fine.

But there was still something to thank Him for. I was retelling the news to John thru MSN when he popped a message saying that Tetet, his cousin, was there just 15 minutes before the explosion. I asked him for Tet's MSN id so I can chat with her. According to her, she was in Glorietta2 around 1pm to get invitation cards. The store was under an escalator in the ground floor. She was also going to meet her friend there at 2:30. I couldn't imagine if she waited there. But God has His own way. At around 1:15 Tetet walked going to Glorietta 4 then 15 minutes after...

Thank God!

Jojo A: All The Way! (Itsacomidishu)

I was planning to post an entry about our team building in Pagsanjan, Laguna but my attention was diverted to this show on Qtv11. It's my second time to watch this program and I think its going to be one of my favorites.

Remember Jojo Alejar? He's the host of this comedy show, The Sobrang Good Nite Show with Jojo A All The Way. Watch it every Monday to Friday at 11PM on Qtv11.

Here was one of his jokes (not in exact words though. but i'll try to convey this one as close to the original)

Aminado daw ang Kapamilya network na talo daw sa ratings ang daily morning show nina Boy at Kris sa katapat nitong show na SiS nina Carmina, Janice, at Gelli. Kaya may pagbabago daw munang gagawin ang show.

hehehehe Are you thinking about the Sam and Piolo's "gay" issue?

the show is entitled "SiS" coz they are "Sis-soned" actors [LOLz]

Ok enough with those guys. I dont want to have enemies here. Peace Neldz, Graciel, and Mia.

Sam at Piolo Nahuli Ni Lolit!

I found this news at This article got more comments(476 posted as of 11:37 AM November 10, 2007) than Angel Locsin's issues. For those who have weak foundation better not read this one. I'm sure Lolit Solis will be bombarded by fans of these guys.

Lolit Solis stumbles on the "date" of heartthrobs Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby

Elyas Isabelo Salanga

Talent manager and TV host Lolit Solis was treated to one of the most surprising visual spectacles of her life when she was invited by businessman Erning Lim to visit an exhibit at the Sofitel (formerly called the Westin Philippine Plaza). No, it wasn't the exhibit that caught her attention, but it was what she found out that utterly surprised her.

According to Manay Lolit's article in the Philippine Star Ngayon, it all began when she got lost inside Sofitel, trying to find the location of the exhibit. Owing to misdirection and probably the unavailability of a venue map, she found herself entering Sofitel's poolside coffee shop at around four in the afternoon. Realizing that she was in the wrong place, she started looking for another entrance or exit, walking and looking left and right.

Two men caught Manay Lolit's attention as she sauntered over. She noticed that the two men looked sweet to each other, exchanging whispers, their cheeks nearly touching. As Manay Lolit approached, waiters who saw her called out her name, apparently wanting to get an autograph. The two men, upon hearing Manay Lolit's name, hastily left as Manay Lolit nearly tripped trying to get a closer look.

Her curiosity rewarded her as she found who the two men were: It was Sam Milby and Piolo Pascual. Someone told Manay Lolit that Sam and Piolo frequented the Sofitel poolside coffee shop since the place usually doesn't have many visitors.

According to Manay Lolit, she wouldn't have noticed the two if it weren't for their obviously hasty retreat. She wouldn't even put malice into what she saw if Sam and Piolo didn't mind being found out or if they had just said "hello," even if they didn't know her well. All that she could do on her way home was ponder on what she had witnessed.

As for Sam and Piolo, people can only speculate about their true sexuality as both heartthrobs have been rumored to be gays. Some write-ups say that the two are in a relationship; some say that Sam isn't gay because he's attracted to Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis Smith; the same with Piolo, who has been linked to Judy Ann Santos and Rica Peralejo. But Piolo has a son out of wedlock.

Life: Explained

I stumbled upon this story on the web and found it very interesting. I wanna share this with you right away so I posted this one earlier than my other planned entries. Hope you like it.

Life: Explained

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.

"Not very long," answered the Mexican.

"But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the American.

The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.

The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"

"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs. I have a full life."

The American interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."

"And after that?" asked the Mexican.

"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."

"How long would that take?" asked the Mexican.

"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the American.

"And after that?"

"Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting," answered the American, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!"

"Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the Mexican.

"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends."

And the moral of this story is: ......... Know where you're going in life... you may already be there.

Excited Me

When I saw Jen's macbook last night, I was really awed and the desire to hold my lappy for the first time intensified even more. You see, it was purchased last month and I still have to wait until November before I can touch it. Frustrating, right?

Anyway, for those who want to ask why I bought an HP dv6500t. Here are my reasons (in no particular order):

I envied Mike, Archie, and Karla coz they already bought their new PC's.
I wanna play DOTA on a better system.
I just want to spend my money on useless things.
I like to drown myself with debts.

To those who know me well... You know my TRUE REASONS.

Burn Tummy Fat! Burn!

I had my 3rd session at the gym and started my weight training earlier. Nothing significant really happened except that I feel very tired from doing all the exercises that were listed on my program. I dont know if I will be able to stand when I wake up tomorrow. Oh well, its the way to get rid of my over-sized-abs(I mean bilbil). And how tired am I? Imagine that I close my eyes every now and then while typing this entry.

Before I succumb to oblivion I'll share this info with you guys first. Hope this one is useful for you. Jun was generous enough to search thru the net for some articles on how to burn tummy fat. He found this one at which states:
"Trying to burn tummy fat can be a difficult thing to do!

The mainstream idea of how to burn tummy fat involves eating a small amount of calories combined with doing lots of crunches everyday.

If you have ever tried this approach, you have almost undoubtedly found yourself to have slow results.

Doing lots of crunches might help you gain core strength, but it will not help to "spot reduce" your tummy. Spot reduction is a common myth that if you want to lose fat in a certain area, you do so by working the muscle underneath it.

Unfortunately, you cannot lose fat in a certain area by doing lots of crunches. If you are going to lose fat, you will do so all over your body. Therefore, you need to focus on losing overall body fat as opposed to just fat in one area!

Now that you know that spot reduction through lots of crunches is not an adequate way to burn tummy fat, its time that you learn two great ways that work!

BURN TUMMY FAT TIP #1: Total body workouts are the way to go.

Total body workouts are a great way to burn tummy fat because of how effective they are at adding lean muscle mass all over your body. By adding lean muscle mass, you help to increase your metabolism.

Having a fast metabolism is an awesome way to burn fat because it will help you to burn calories while being active and also while at rest. Doing lots of crunches definitely does not work enough muscle to help raise your metabolism.

Here is an example of what a total body workout to burn fat might look like:

1. Inverted pushups

2. Lunges

3. Seated row

4. Hamstring leg curls on a stability ball

5. Ab crunches on a stability ball

6. Med ball squat, curl, and press

Can you see how the above workout works your entire body? Remember that to raise your metabolism to burn fat, you need to work a lot of muscle. The more muscle you work, the more lean muscle mass you will gain, and the more tummy fat you will burn =)

BURN TUMMY FAT TIP #2: Have the right diet

This is the cornerstone to effectively burn fat. If you do not have the right diet, then no amount of exercise is going to help!

The main thing you want to concentrate on with your diet is to eat the small meals of protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. If you eat these in small meals 4-6 times per day, you will not feel hungry as often and your blood sugar will stay more level.

You also want to avoid high glycemic "bad" carbs as much as possible. These carbs include white bread, junk food, fast food, refined sugar, etc. These bad carbs make your blood sugar go very high, and your body will respond be releasing more insulin to store the excess as body fat."

Verifone Rack's Slimmers BioResearch

I left for work late today coz I watched Pokemon, Detective Conan, and Battle B-Daman. Let's keep that as our little secret. Anyway, since I left late I was not able to catch the last Mega-Tektite FX and have to walk from Crossing to Orient Square. Good thing Haring Araw was not cruel.

Around 12:20pm we, the STE-SQA Team, left the office for our lunch out courtesy of our best manager, Miss Eden. We had a reservation at Rack's, El Pueblo. It was my first time to dine there. We had grilled spare ribs, chicken, coleslaw, and pasta. The food was really great and it was a treat.

Pitt and Kat accompanied me to Megamall for my scheduled medical checkup at Slimmers. The checkup was just more or less 10 minutes. I found out that I dont have high-blood pressure. The doctor told me that she heard "murmur-like sounds" on my heart. Hmmm... I really want to know and hear what she heard. Anyway, she told me that it was not a problem. That's good news right? And she also told me that my snores doesnt seem to be a sign of an ailment. I was really glad to hear that. The checkup gave me permission to start my weight training on my next gym session.

After the checkup we did the main purpose of why we went to Mega. That was to buy the cute little thing that I've been wanting to have for the past week, the red eared green turtles. I really wanted to buy them the first time I saw them but I didnt bite into the temptation but instead I waited until I hear enough information about turtles. Pitt told us that they have 2 turtles and that they dont need high maintenance. Kat on the other hand just encouraged me to buy them. Well, knowing her as a pet lover, what would you expect? So I bought 2 turtles. One male and the other is gay. Just kidding! Of course the other one is a female. I was only planning to get one but Pitt and Kat insisted that if they were turtles they wouldnt want to be alone in an aquarium. And so I gave in. I bought two turles. And now Im stuck with the problem of naming them. Jeng and Jopen suggested Kiko. Ping and Pong was Karla's while Henry's was the most intriguing, Ar* We*.
Got to go now. Its already 1am and Im hungry. Maybe I will have tapsilog or cornedsilog.
